A Car Birthday Party

on December 4, 2012

George had a wonderful first birthday surrounded by friends and family. We did a race car theme. I ordered decorations from Paper and Pip on etsy and sweet lulu. I had a really good time decorating and making everything fun for the birthday boy. When he came down for the party he was pointing at everything talking like crazy! Made this mama feel good.

The birthday boy in his car outfit that Grandmomma Williams got him–matched the theme perfectly.

We got him the cozy coup for his gift from mommy and daddy, since he loves anything to do with steering wheels and cars. He hardly ever gets out of it. 🙂 Win!

The food! All car themed…tires, dipsticks, traffic light cookies–the works! And the refueling station.

My mom made these AMAZING cars from toilet paper rolls. We saw them on pinterest and the instructions weren’t even in English. But she did an an incredible job. Wow.

I made this 1 with pictures of George through out the year.

We also had outdoor space set up with fires and roasted marshmallows.

These were the favors. They are car crayons I had made through etsy with the party colors.

Hannah made George’s cupcakes and his car smash cake. Look how much he loves it!

And we had 5 generations at the party. Not to mention 15 neighborhood kids!

What you can’t see in the picture below is the 50 people singing Happy Birthday, George!

And I have to give a HUGE thank you to Kim who took all these amazing pictures so I could focus on George and the party. It was the best gift I could have asked for. Thank you Kim!!!!

Wow! Y’all did more for one b’day party than we did for all the ones that Clay and Curt had! The food labels are so cute! And George…perfection!
